This body of work was created in Sophia's last year at high school where she was working towards her Standard Level IB certificate in art. Sophia was inspired by a recent trip to Japan to explore the deeper meaning behind the paper crane. Her goal was to take the image and iconic symbol of the crane and to reimagine it into other art forms.
